Legal services for many clients are rendered on an hourly fee basis.
Some clients prefer a contingency fee arrangement under which the firm receives a percentage (typically one-third) of any recovery. Contingent fee cases most often involve employment discrimination, personal injury and police misconduct.
We also offer a modified contingency arrangement, where we would receive a lower hourly rate and a smaller percentage of any recovery. Collecting the remainder of the hourly fee (and any additional award) would be contingent upon recovery. This type of arrangement balances the risks and benefits of straight hourly and contingent fee arrangements.
